Religious Education

Trust, Respect and Shine!

RE

As a church school we follow the Dorset Agreed syllabus as determined by the Salisbury Diocese. We follow the Emmanuel Project, agreed by senior leaders and the governors of the school. We felt collectively that the scheme of work compliments our curriculum and projects the 'Piddle Valley' way of Christian teaching and following.

RE is taught discretely, but it also forms the basis for much of our cross curricular work and is the basis of our school ethos. Where possible RE is linked to our topics, circle time and PSHE so that children are able to gain a practical understanding of Christianity and other world religions and non-religions, and how people of faith demonstrate their core values in everyday living.
