Promoting positive behaviour

Developing our approach to positive behaviour at Piddle Valley 2019 - 2020
Staff and pupils have been reviewing our behaviour policy and approach to promoting positive behaviour.
We have all been inspired by the work of Paul Dix and as a whole school we are focusing on promoting a system that is simple but positively consistent.
We are developing an appraoch where all children will get the same response and the same boundaries from the adults in school but is rooted in understanding and kindness.
One approach we are promoting involves the celebration of positive behaviour and learning attitudes through our 'recognition boards' or 'WOW!' displays. Positive behaviour is recognised and celebrated with the aim that by the end of the day everyone has their name on the board.
